Before you call
The CAF (family benefits office) handles family allowances, the APL (housing benefit), the prime d'activité (in-work benefit), etc. Most procedures are done on caf.fr. Have your numéro allocataire (CAF claimant number) ready.

On caf.fr, section 'Mes démarches > Déclarer ma situation'. Any change (job, move, birth) must be reported within 60 days.
How do I calculate my APL entitlement?

My CAF payment has not arrived. What should I do?
Call 32 30 or log in to caf.fr. Check your IBAN in your account. CAF payments usually arrive at the start of the month.
